Code Amendment Approval

The State Government has approved the Golden Grove Neighbourhood Stage 1 and Master Planned Stage 2 Code Amendments, enabling the rezoning of just under 104 hectares of land at Golden Grove within the City of Tea Tree Gully.

The approval concludes a comprehensive two-stage planning process, supported by extensive consultation with the community, industry stakeholders and government agencies. Stage 1 (north of One Tree Hill Road) underwent consultation during 2023, while Stage 2 (south of One Tree Hill Road, approximately 48.2 hectares) was initiated in April 2025 and subject to public consultation from May to June 2025.

When fully delivered, the Golden Grove project is expected to support approximately 850 new homes, along with employment opportunities, open space and supporting infrastructure - providing much-needed housing choice for Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs.

The approved rezoning reflects YAS’ commitment to responsible development, incorporating environmental protection measures, landscaped buffers, urban tree canopy provisions and well-connected pedestrian and cycling networks. Detailed air quality monitoring and noise investigations were also undertaken as part of the planning process.
