Behind the scenes at Onkaparinga Heights ‘brand film’ shoot.
In March 2026, the vision for Onkaparinga Heights was brought to life through film, with a 4-day shoot that moved across some of southern Adelaide’s most distinctive landscapes.
Working alongside acclaimed Director Rich Coburn and award-winning Cinematographer Grace Liu, the project was approached with a clear and deliberate intent, to create a piece of work that felt natural, emotive and beautiful - rather than constructed for marketing. The aim was not simply to showcase a development, but to capture a way of living that is shaped by its surroundings.
Filming took place across Onkaparinga National Park, Port Noarlunga Beach, and a series of locations that sit between the hills and the coast. Each setting played a role in building a broader picture of the lifestyle the community offers, where elevation, open space and proximity to nature are not ideas, but everyday realities.

Over the course of the shoot, attention was given to the spectacular details that define the character of the area... the way light settles across the valley in the early morning, the movement of people through open landscapes, and the natural transition from hillside to coastline, as well as some of the amenity in the area. Rather than relying on overt storytelling, the film allows these moments to accumulate, creating a sense of place that feels both authentic and familiar.
The result is a 3-minute brand film that brings these elements together in a way that feels considered and assured. It doesn’t try to overstate what Onkaparinga Heights is; instead, it reflects the environment it belongs to and the lifestyle it supports, allowing the viewer to understand it through experience rather than explanation.
What emerges is a portrait of a community defined not just by its location, but by the quality of life it enables... one that is shaped by outlook, space and a strong connection to the natural landscape.
